Children in Kisumu, Kenya, look at new self published books that were donated to them. After receiving these books, it was possible to start their library so that other orphans and everyone in their community could have access to them.

 
Orphan Support International, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity Organization registered, since 2011, in the State of Florida, United States of America.

What We Do...

We are a Public Charity organization that assists orphans, the needy, and the destitute with basic needs internationally and in the USA .

We donate to established local non profit organzations that provide hot meals, food items, clothing, educational, and shelter services to the needy and homeless in our communities; we also assist individuals and families in need.

Our members and friends, in our communities, share a passion to assist orphans and the poor around the world.

Since our organization was founded in 2011, we have collected and distributed basic needs of clothing, toys, educational games and books - including self published poetry books, personal items, hand made jewelry, etc., to thousands of vulnerable and destitute orphans and women, individuals, families, the homeless, and service organizations in Bangladesh, Egypt, Guatemala, Guyana, Kenya, Nigeria, Pretoria, and the United States of America. 

Items include:

• 3,500 cloth masks distributed to communities in Lee and Collier counties, Florida. This was done  in partnership with the Florida Department of Health to assist in protecting our communities (including the senior and homeless citizens) during the COVID-19 pandemic
• Books - educational, poetry, cultural, novels, religious, journals, etc.
• Clothing - new and slightly used; socks, blankets, new school uniforms
• Baby food and miscellaneous items: - baby clothing, wipes, diapers, strollers
• School supplies - back packs, pens, pencils, paper, crayons, educational kits
• Footwear - shoes, socks, slippers
• Toys - cabbage patch dolls, other collectible dolls and toys, games
• Pocket books, formal and casual purses
• Jewelry - watches, earrings, hand made and misc. jewelry
• Beauty supplies, skin care creams, lotions, etc.
• Musical instruments, CDs, educational and music videos
• Health supplies - incontinence and personal health items, walkers
• Wellness supplies - sheet sets, pillows, sleeping bags, blankets
• Craft - misc. art supplies and paints
• Food, water and fruit drinks to the homeless and homebound; fruits, fresh vegetables and vegetable seeds for planting
• Winter blankets to keep the children warm during the Winter
• Gifts, puzzles, healthy snacks for sick children.

What are our future plans for vulnerable, orphaned boys and girls around the world?

• Cloth and sewing machines for orphans in the Hill Tracts areas (close to the Myanmar border) in Bangladesh. When the sewing machines and cloth are purchased, school uniforms will be made for the children to wear to school - COMPLETED!
• Provide Winter blankets to children who live in the slum areas - COMPLETED!
• Children's shoes. Many orphans do not have shoes to wear; they walk for many miles without shoes on their tiny feet - COMPLETED!
• Computers, educational books and other learning tools - COMPLETED!
• Install much needed wells for clean drinking water - COMPLETED!
• Build schools in remote villages so that boys and girls will have access to an education.
• Provide safe housing; many vulnerable orphans are usually homeless.
• Implement nutritious meal programs; many orphans go hungry and are malnourished - they look inside garbage dumps for food to eat.

Our supporters and volunteers are from various parts of the world including Bangladesh, Egypt, Guatemala, Guyana, Kenya, and the United States of America.

Many of the orphaned children do not have clean drinking water. Many of them have to walk for many miles to obtain water for their daily needs - as a result, they are unable to go to school. We plan to work with other organizations to provide clean drinking water to children around the world.
